Friday Nudibranch Blogging

Not with scarfs or perfumed gloves
Does Ceratosoma tenue celebrate its loves,
Not by jewels, feasts, and savors,
Not by ribbons or by favors,
But by the sun-spark on the sea,
And the cloud-shadow on the lea.

Phila, are those two structures near the front of the critter eye stalks or antennae, or ?

Thanks for the pic of last week's nudibranch showing its scale, on the human hand. I'd no idea it was so small. In my mind's eye, the nudibranch is as large as it is beautiful.

I was so tired I forgot to come by yesterday.

This one looks like a festive candy.

i watched a DVD yesterday that had nudis in it. it was about Craig Venter's work sequencing DNA from seacreatures by collecting seawater from locations around the world. he's using this method to ID new genes and new creatures, mostly microbes. quite interesting video and the creatures were lovely, although somewhat bigger than the average microbe!
