Caught in the act!
Just FYI, nudibranchs are hermaphroditic; they both produce sperm and eggs. Nice work if you can get it, eh?

How very calming! The colors are cool. I like 'em a lot.
this past summer, i spent time on amami oshima, an island south of kyushu here in japan, and they are heavily into their sea-slugs...
let's see if i can get the html to work (i'm used to haloscan):
NATIVE SEA AMAMI SEA SLUGS
click any of the links in the colored bars...
cheers

Thanks so much for the link, Medaka...lovely!
Yeah, baby! The nudibranches are much more titullatin' than the clothed ones. They sure 'nuff keep my branch strong and long, uh-hunh! That li'l blue cutie has got to be barely legal.
Nice nudie pictures. Did you take them all yourself? Any technical details on the equipment/exposure settings? Where were they taken?
Anyways, I love the pictures. Keep 'em coming!
Cheers,
The more I see of these fantastic creatures I find myself amazed at their sense of style, they way the background colors on which they choose to frolic mix with their beautiful coloring leads me to consider that they might have a future in Reality TV.
Something along the lines of "Nudibranch eye for the Pufferfish guy" seems about right.
BTW a belated Happy New year to you Phila. :)
Hey! Puffers have their own panache! See my blog. . . .
Oh my - where do the little censored bars go? ;)
I must say, though, Ma Nature does beautiful work!
