Friday Nudibranch Blogging

Good heavens. Another week gone by already? Time flies when your workday starts at 8 AM and runs 'til 3 AM!

My recent work schedule may have me teetering vertiginously on the edge of mental and physical collapse, but I hope you'll note that I still found time to ply you with this intimate (yet tasteful!) snapshot of Chromodoris lochi doing its hermaphroditic thing.

As for Friday Hope Blogging...suffice it to say that I hope I can write 200 pages in five days!

In summation: God damn everything but the circus.

Oy, I hear you as to schedules. I'd thought I'd have a break when summer started, but noooooo....

It doesn't matter if you don't post, I still check your site every day.

Beautiful hermaphrodite nudibranch blogging. Thanks for taking a break from your work to please us once again with these lovely creatures.
Good luck on the writing. I hope you can find some time to go birdwatching.

Phila: Tagged you for a meme game (sorry) here but your email bounced. Play along if you want.

Phila, sounds like you're running so hard, no wonder you chose a pair of Nudibranches that remind me vrey much of one of my favorite old pairs of Addidas!

If you're at it 9a.m. -3 a.m. you'll get your 200 pages in 5 days, though of course the quality may suffer. Don't forget to stop from 3-6 pm for a good long walk and a nice cup of tea.

Personally, I find I get more done if I go to bed by midnight, but the old deadline crunch is another matter. What's your project???

I am a little late to see your nudibranch blog of the week, but wild crashing computers couldn't keep me away! Lovely creatures, as always. What are your 200 pages about?

Thanks for the kind words!

Re the 200 pages...you don't wanna know! Utterly boring technical ghostwriting stuff...it's eighty percent research, five percent writing, and fifteen percent cursing the day I was born!

Re the dread 200 pages--I think the goal with that sort of writing is to not bore yourself, but make it as accessible and engaging as possible. It can be a satisfying end making technical writing comprehensible, especially because the result is in itself so very rare.

You can do it. I've read your fairly complex technical-ish stuff on here, and it's always engaging.

Or, of course you could always include in it the curses you use as you write. That could give some kids a cheap thrill.

Or here, this is it, why not set up your own secret code for including the curses and obscenities. Like, every 6th word, the 2nd letter will be part of the obscenities. Like playing the old Beetles records backwards.

Something to consider doing, just to keep yourself engaged in the effort. Or, maybe I've just had too much coffee??
